Guitar LessonS

Age 5 & up

Learn the Songs You Love. Become the Player You Want to Be.

Whether you or your child is obsessed with Taylor Swift, Metallica, AC/DC, worship music, or writing original songs — we start with what excites and build real skill from there.

At Band Aid, guitar lessons aren’t about boring drills or endless scales. They’re about momentum. Confidence. That moment when the riff finally locks in and you think, “Whoa… I can actually play.”

Stuck on YouTube? We’ve Got You.

A lot of students come to us after trying to learn online. And listen — YouTube is awesome… until it isn’t.

  • No one corrects your hand position

  • No one fixes bad habits

  • No one pushes you when you plateau

  • No one celebrates when you nail it

That’s where a real instructor changes everything.

Our experienced guitar teachers show students — in real time — how to build clean technique, understand music theory (without making it boring), and develop strong musical instincts. We prevent frustrating habits before they take root, so progress feels smooth instead of confusing.

Practice Is Great. Performing Is Transformational.

Here’s the truth:

Who wants to practice soccer and never play a game?

At Band Aid, guitar students don’t just practice in a room. They step into Performance Classes and Showcases, where they learn to:

  • Play confidently in front of others

  • Manage nerves and turn stress into excitement

  • Prepare with focus and discipline

  • Experience the pride of real accomplishment

  • Learn to listen and give feedback

  • Make new friends who can last a lifetime.

Twice each semester, students perform in supportive Performance Classes — low-pressure environments designed to build confidence step by step. Then they take it to the stage at our Student Showcases, performing for friends, family, and real audiences.

This is where growth accelerates.
This is where identity forms.
This is where kids (and adults) discover what they’re capable of.

Because learning guitar isn’t just about chords.
It’s about confidence, courage, and connection.

Real Teachers. Real Musicians. Real Progress.

Every Band Aid guitar instructor is a trained musician and performer. We teach:

  • Acoustic & electric guitar

  • Rock, pop, blues, country, worship, indie & more

  • Lead guitar & soloing

  • Rhythm & chord mastery

  • Songwriting

  • Band performance skills

Whether you're 5 or 55, beginner or advanced, we meet you where you are — and help you level up.

From First Chords to Center Stage.

At Band Aid, guitar students don’t just learn songs. They become musicians. They collaborate. They join bands. They perform.

And yes… sometimes they melt a few faces along the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our teachers understand that every student is an individual, with personal musical needs and goals. We make it a priority to tailor how we teach and what we teach to your individual needs.

When you enroll in guitar lessons, your teacher will ask you about your favorite types of music and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or your child. You’ll work together to develop a plan to achieve your goals. We love beginners, so even if you don’t know where to begin, we can help!

  • We teach all styles from rock, pop, jazz, country, worship, blues, and classical. We combine the important fundamentals with the music YOU want to play. With 20+ teachers at Band Aid School of Music, you are sure to find the best match for YOU.

  • Our guitar instructors have proven qualifications, training, teaching experience, and most importantly, passion for teaching. All of our staff are very experienced musicians who have clocked hundreds of hours of stage time. Being a great musician doesn’t automatically make you a great teacher. That’s why we search for those who are best qualified for mentoring our music students!

We search the Live Music Capital of the World for the top teachers who embody the high values at Band Aid School of Music. Most importantly, our instructors strive to relate their teaching to each individual student’s learning style. Many of our instructors have gone on performance tours of the USA and Europe and have years of professional performance and teaching experience.

In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly, and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level. We search high and low for the BEST teachers, so you don’t have to!

  • There is no set answer for how long it takes to learn. With regular practice, a basic level of playing can be accomplished in a few months. Most of our students take lessons on a long-term basis because they want to be constantly improving, and they find lessons enjoyable.

  • We get it: as an adult student or a younger student with many extra curricular activities, it can be hard to find the time. Our instructors will encourage you to make time to practice. They’ll help you do that by giving you short, effective and fun exercises that you can do easily throughout the day because practice makes progress, whether it’s 5 minutes or 60. And, we’re confident that once you get started, you’ll fall in love with the guitar and never want to put it down!

  • Yes. Even if you don’t have a musical background you can ask the teacher for advice on how to help your child practice. By simply monitoring that they are doing exercises a certain number of times per day the student will progress. Parents will occasionally sit in on their child’s music lesson to get an idea of the proper way a song should sound or how the student should be positioning their hands.
