Bass Lessons (for ages 5 and up)

Whether you are interested in learning James Jamerson’s classic Motown lines, Paul McCartney’s melodic bass style, or funky slap bass, we aim to be the best bass lesson experience in Austin!

Learning bass doesn’t have to be hard! Our instructors are very warm, friendly, and patient and are ready to help you work on the most important aspects of becoming the bass player you’ve always wanted to be!

We understand that every student is an individual, with personal musical needs and goals. We make it a priority to tailor how we teach and what we teach to your individual needs.

All of our bass lessons are taught by experienced instructors with years of performing and teaching experience.

Did you know that bass players are the most sought after musicians in the industry? If you want to get paid, play bass!

Bass lessons with an instructor is the quickest way to learn proper techniques, theory, and also can help prevent bad habits from developing. Having a bass guitar instructor is beneficial in that they can show you in “real time” how a song, lick or scale should be played; as other methods of learning can’t see if you are playing something correctly or not!

Your bass guitar lessons focus on getting you to quickly be able to play your favorite songs or compositions! The bass instructors at Band Aid School of Music are all experienced teachers and performers and can help you with any music style that you are interested in learning.

It is ideal if you do have a bass at home before starting lessons, but you can start lessons with our bass teachers by renting from our friends at
Rock n Roll Rentals. Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist or Strait Music are also good places to find basses, if you are looking to purchase. Our teachers can even help you with guitar repair, setup, string choice and more.
